One of These Beasts Got a Bath Today
Note: I won’t tell you which one, but I’ll give you a hint: The one attempting to guard the treat from the invading infidel.

Oh sure, that wasn’t enough a hint, was it, you big whiner… Fine. Here. This is who got a bath:

Note: He’s very very proud of himself. And also probably weighs about 20 pounds less. That is the approximate weight of the amount of fur I brushed off of him this afternoon.

Self-Portrait Tuesday: Giving You The Willies With That “You’re Being Watched” Feeling Edition
Note: I had an idea for a picture and I couldn’t get it to work. Not cold enough outside, I think. (sorry for those of you living where it is for 100% certain it would have been cold enough outside. You know. Where it’s like below 65 degrees or whatever.) At any rate, I’ll have to keep that idea for another time and just focus on creeping you out Big Time with this one instead.
not looking up settings. Too tired. So there.

By Marla Laramie
Note: One of the assignments asks the students to create both a white backdrop and a black backdrop using only a difference in dynamic range. This was Marla’s image and it made me catch my breath the moment I saw it.

Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwiches
Note: These were upscale PB&B Sammies — honey mixed in with the PB, then grilled in butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar. That’s right. You got it. SO YUM. For a more specific recipe, go to HERE on the Food Network
Note2: My kids spend ALL of ANY meal giggling at each other. You’d think it was cute. But it’s NOT. Because if they are giggling they are NOT EATING. Which means they spend 45 minutes sitting at the table doing NOTHING.
Note3: But it makes a great picture!

She See’s Love Where Anyone Else Would See Weeds
Note: Dandelions always remind me of a song by Five Iron Frenzy about how a child brings the mom flowers and how most people see them as weeds, but how the mom knows that they flowers were brought with a huge heart full of love and then creates that vivid mental/emotional picture to paint a picture of our personal relationship with Jesus – how we see our offerings as weeds, but how God understands the heart behind them. I love that song. Lost the CD in The Great Divorce CD Separation of 2005. Sad. It was a good CD. I totally forgot about that until today. Itunes, here I come.
Note2: Want to read the lyics to the song? Sure you do! go here:

Spring Has Sprung
Note: I know, this is really mean to those of you who experiences snow storms and icy sheets and blizzards and whatnot this weekend. Early spring is the price we pay for 3 months of NEVER ENDING BURNING in the middle of the summer.

One Ear Cocked At All Times
Note: I love how you can clearly see his spooky half-blue eye in this shot. And also that he has that look of anticipation on his face… that comes from the fact that the hand holding the lens is ALSO holding a yummy treat.

Hugging In The Sunshine
Note: I know, I’ve been really slacking this past week+ when it comes to the every day thing. We’ve been busy being sick or sick of being busy. Your choice.
